During the 1500 time period, Raphael developed his own painting style, which is exhibited in the religious works, The Mond Crucifixion (1502), The Three Graces (1503), The Knights Dream (1504), and the oddi altarpiece Marriage Of The Virgin (1504)
In 1504, after leaving his apprenticeship with Pietro, he moved to Florence, Italy. Once he moved there he was heavily influenced by the Italian painters Fra Bartolommeo, Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Masaccio.
From 1504 through 1507, Raphael produced a series of Madonnas, which put a halt to Leonardo Da Vinci’s works. During the same year of 1507, Raphael made his most ambitious work in Florence, the Entombment.
Raphael then decided to move to Rome in 1508 to paint the Vatican “Stanze” (“Room”) for Pope Julius II. Raphael decided to stay in Rome. He stayed there for the rest of his lifetime.
